Fashion for a Rainy Day - Ladies

Since it has been raining like crazy here, I thought I’d give some style tips for how to stay stylish and very chic even in the gloomiest of weather.
Ladies, rain boots are a must have. No uggs, no flats, no sneakers, but rain boots. I love the Burberry printed ones just because they add a little classiness to your outfit. However, any type or print of boot is fine. I would tend to stay in the medium to dark tones just to offset the weather. Also, insulated boots are very beneficial. Rain + cold does not work well together, so you definitely want your feet to stay dry and warm. Coach also has some pattern rain boots as well which can work very nicely. As for jeans or even leggings, again, I would stay in a dark wash, having them nicely fitted to your body. Express and Guesshave a great selection of jeans/leggings that are affordable and very stylish. Moving further up top, a fitted mock turtle neck, such as the one here atNordstrom will help you stay warm as well as very fashion forward. It doesn’t need to be striped necessarily. However, I prefer medium/dark tones rather than anything too loud. Lastly, throw on a trench coat, such as this Burberry Trench from Nordstrom and you’re all set. Express also has a lovely trench that is more affordable. As for your purse, you want something that is easily maneuverable and accessible in the rain that could stand a little water. I recommend going for something very simple, with not too many embellishments. For example, the Hermes cross body. Of course, there are more budget friendly ones out there!
And of course, you must have a trendy umbrella to complete your look, mainly because you don’t want to get wet. So I hope this helps. There’s more to come!
